The only time I have the Super Shotgun out is for the utility of getting armor without having to use the flame belch. If I don't have a specific reason to be using a different weapon, like the precision mod, I'm using the combat shotgun. I'm currently on my first play through, blind, in Nightmare and my friends have been ripping on me for my overwhelming preference for the combat shotgun.
Or, at the very least, doesn't offer the damage its reputation suggests. The damage, for me, has proven woefully inconsistent even at point blank range.
I have no idea why so many people worship the Super Shotgun. Noticed you were getting a lot of down votes for an unpopular opinion.
